Would it be possible to make settings, such as Casts Shadows, function on a per-object-instance basis rather than as a global setting (for that object) from the library? Or perhaps an option in an objects right-click menu that could override the library setting?
Perhaps I want most crates to cast a shadow, but one is actually an illusion to be noticed by an astute player?
It would be nice not to have to add an image to the library twice just to have one cast a shadow and one not. (Or other similar settings, such as Light Source or Light Colour.)

Already can be achieved by placing objects on a different layer say the environment layer for example. Attachments:

Oh awesome! I didn't realise it was per layer. Thanks!

I just want to clarify - objects placed on the Environment or Environment Details Layer use the lighting from the floor and walls. This works great for carpets and other "ground or wall hugging" details - but may look odd for something like crates (and lighting won't match objects on the Props layer). So this does not obviate the need for per-instance settings. However if it works in the short-term, than that's great. Also - I would not suggest drawing parts of rooms "off the map" like in the screenshot, they will be cut-off when rendering or printing. There are occasions where this is desired but usually will produce unexpected results.
